Seat price
ShareRides works out a fare range from the distance. It runs from the 5 Seater fare up to the SUV fare and is the same for every car. The captain picks a price inside this range.

Seat prices on ShareRides are set within a fixed range, shown before you book, and paid to the captain in cash.
For passengers
What you pay
Fixed at booking
You see the seat price before you book. Once booked, it is locked and does not change, even if the captain edits the ride later.
Pay in cash after drop
You pay the captain directly after you are dropped. The app shows the exact You pay amount. ShareRides does not collect the seat fare.
Pick me up | Drop me off
Pickup or drop within 5 km has an add-on fare. It is shown before you request it and is paid to the captain.
Wallet credit
Completed taxi rides count towards milestone rewards on your 1st, 3rd, 5th and 10th ride. You can use wallet credit on a booking once your balance reaches the minimum shown in Wallet.
Wallet credit cannot be withdrawn or transferred. It is not given or used on private car rides.
No cancellation fee
There is no cancellation fee at present. See the Cancellation and refund policy for details.
For captains
What ShareRides charges
Platform fee
Captains pay a small platform fee for each passenger who travels, taken from the seat fare. The amount and GST are shown before you publish. There is no fee for cancelled bookings or no-shows.
During launch
ShareRides is not charging the platform fee during the launch period. The app shows it as waived.
Settlement
Fees you owe and wallet or offer amounts ShareRides owes you are shown as one net balance in Settlement. Clear any dues before your next publish.
