How to raise a complaint with ShareRides and what to expect. This page is published under the Information Technology Rules, 2021, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Last updated on 19 October 2026.
In the app: open Account → Settings → Help → Chat with ShareRides, or report a message from trip chat.
By email: write to info@sharerides.in. Please include your registered mobile number, the booking date and route if it is about a trip, and what happened. Do not send your OTP or boarding PIN.
We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.
If the complaint is about content that shows nudity, a sexual act, or a morphed image of you, we remove it within 24 hours.
Requests about your personal data (access, correction, deletion) are completed within 30 days.
Content decisions: you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee at gac.gov.in within 30 days of our decision.
Personal data: you can approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Consumer complaints: you can call the National Consumer Helpline on 1915, use consumerhelpline.gov.in, or file a case with the consumer commission through e-daakhil.nic.in.
For an accident, a threat or any emergency during a trip, call 112 first. Women can also call the women helpline on 181. Then use SOS in the app and tell us.
