Solo women travellers can enable women co-passenger safety — we only show rides where at least one other booked passenger is a woman. Driver gender does not matter.

Vehicle insurance
A captain must carry the compulsory third-party insurance required by the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. That policy belongs to the captain. ShareRides does not insure the trip.

This is not about women drivers. For solo passengers, we ensure at least one woman is already booked as a co-passenger on the same ride.
